Taken in 2022, these photographs are laid out like a cinema slide, to recall what I see as the bond between two art forms: photography and film. Each completes and enriches the other, like pieces of a puzzle, creating an aesthetic synaesthesia and a dreamlike atmosphere.

The title is purely provocative. Intimità (intimacy) is meant as an introspective view of how I see my subjects through the lens.
The people portrayed are caught in very different settings, indoors and out; sometimes they seem aware of the camera, sometimes they ignore it.
This is exactly what I wanted to emphasise: a kind of melancholy solitude between the person and the place. The scene leads us towards someone who “silently” faces their everyday life, whether in a city, a green space or a moment of reflection within their own walls.
